The master behind the standard.

Haley Kang did not begin in beauty. She began as an English instructor, standing in front of students and learning what would become the thread of her whole career: people gain confidence when someone explains a difficult thing clearly. Twenty years ago she carried that conviction into a new field and rebuilt herself from the first day of beauty school.

She rebuilt herself the Korean way, through study. A master's degree in cosmetology from Konkuk University Graduate School of Industry. A beauty business program at the Seoul National University lifelong education center. An anatomy practicum at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. And finally a doctorate, the Doctor of Beauty Arts that anchors everything she teaches today.

Korean universities noticed. Across two decades she has taught at more than seven of them, including Kyung Hee, Hansung, Sahmyook Health, Shinhan and Songgok. Today she serves as a specially appointed professor of PMU artistry at Wonkwang Digital University, a lecturer at Konkuk University and an adjunct professor in the IAU graduate program. At International Cyber University she taught practical beauty English and client psychology, the two subjects that make her a natural guide for international students.

Then the invitations crossed borders. Guangzhou came first, in 2015, as a stylist and educator for K-culture events and a judge of the 1st Korea-China Contour Makeup World Contest. Shunde Polytechnic followed, then academy training in Guangzhou and Shanghai, then professional waxing education in Beijing. In 2019 the 8th International Body Art Contest named her Grand Master of Waxing, the title that defines her signature discipline.

Today she owns and directs J&CO Wax&Lash in Nonhyeon, in the Gangnam district of Seoul, where visiting clients and training professionals meet the same standard. Magazine interviews about her craft keep returning to one theme, the same one she started with in that language classroom: beauty and confidence.
